Olive Musica

I just read an interesting NY Times article about the Olive Musica. For fans of digital music this seems like a godsend. I component that stores all your digital media and distributes it via a wifi network. The integration sounds too good to be true - we'll see. As an iTunes user it's a bit disturbing that it won't play songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store (just another example of how the music industry in general continues to betray consumers, inmho).

In any event, this seems like a neat addition to any home audio setup. I may into it next year.

Mohegan Sun

A big group of us went to Mohegan Sun on Saturday to celebrate my brother's 40th birthday. Good fun. I'd never been to Mohegan Sun before and was pleasantly surprised. We all had a good time donating money to a native american tribe. So why am I posting? I always find it disturbing to watch people playing the slot machines and this weekend was no exception. This mind-numbing activity takes little more than a tap of a finger to play and it's exceedingly random. It's only mildly more challenging than watching Oprah on a television. Brilliant!
